A lot has happened this month. Of course the main thing is our 45th anniversary. We have had quite some excitement.

Activities from the last month:
Rijssen and Hengelo training
On the 4th of April we had another Rijssen training, which was again very successful. On the 30th of april we had another Hengelo training. And we’re glad to say that the Hengelo training will also be a monthly training.
Lustrum old member training
On the 12 th of april, Linea recta had her 9th lustrum. Which means that we are now 45 years old. It is incredible how far our association has come. On this friday there was an old member training. We were so happy to see how many Linea Rectans showed up. Afterwards we enjoyed our tradition, although slightly altered. Instead of the usual cookies, we feasted on cake.
Fire pit evening
After the training the LustrumCie had organized for a lovely fire pit evening. Even though a lot of the older members couldn’t stay for too long (something about jobs and responsibilities), numbers of people attended. We laughed and shared stories about this and that.
Hangover petting zoo
The fire pit evening lasted till long into the night. That might explain why few people attended the hangover petting zoo the next morning. Nevertheless, it was worth the effort. There were a lot of cute baby goats (and a few mean adult goats) and it was nice to share that morning with equally hungover people.
AcCo exam break
As board we hope all of the exams went well. Everyone has probably already put it far behind them. Because everyone needs a little distraction every now and then, the AcCo prepared for yet another smashing exam break on the 16th of april. This time with Vietnamese spring rolls.
Comig up:
Pooling
On the 14th of May the AcCo is organizing a super cool pooling activity. It will be at Snooker & Poolcentrum Enschede. Starting at 21:00 and is promising to be a very fun activity. If you’re doubting whether you should come, let me save you some trouble… you should… here.
Batavierenrace
On the 24th and 25th of May the Batavierenrace will take place again. Of course the race starts on Friday in Nijmegen and ends in Enschede. Luckily for us it ends on Saturday around dinnertime. Just like previous years, Linea Recta hosts a BBQ for all the student gymnastics associations in the country. If you want to attend, sign-up now.
Sportgala
It’s about time we had another prom, don’t you think. Well, we’re happy to announce there is. The time has come to dust of the ol’ suits and dresses, or just buy a new one. Because on the 29th of May, the sportgala will take place. Are you coming as well? Click here.
Lustrum photoshoot
And for another awesome lustrum activity…. a photoshoot! A few years ago there was a similar photoshoot and they look absolutely amazing. I would strongly recommend going to the photoshoot and if you happened to have bought some cool merch, wink wink, you should definitely bring it. It will be on the 31st of May. So mark your calendars. (If you have the Linea Recta calendar it’s already in there).
